Disclaimer
We're the messenger
foundmatterdb gathers what people are already saying in public about products, services and businesses, along with official recall notices, and organizes it so it's easier to find. We don't write those posts, and we can't vouch for them.
Posts and reviews are other people's words
Social media posts, product reviews, comments, grades and repair requests are written by members of the public. They are their opinions and experiences, not statements of fact by foundmatterdb. We have not verified them, tested the products, or contacted the companies involved. A post may be mistaken, exaggerated, out of date, or about a different product than it appears.
Official notices
Recalls, alerts and shortages come from government agencies and their published feeds, such as the FDA, CPSC, NHTSA, Health Canada and the UK Food Standards Agency. Each one links to the original. If our summary and the agency's notice ever disagree, the agency's notice is the one that counts. Reports that people sent to the FDA are published by the FDA as received. The FDA does not confirm that a product caused the problem, and neither do we. foundmatterdb is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these agencies.
Brands and businesses
Company and product names appear because the people posting, or the agencies, used them. Being mentioned here is not an accusation, finding or endorsement by foundmatterdb. Trademarks belong to their owners. Most products named here are used by many people without any problem.
Not advice
Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or safety advice. Check the official recall notice, the manufacturer, or a qualified professional before acting. If someone may be hurt or poisoned, call 911 or Poison Control (1-800-222-1222 in the US) right away.
Pros board
Listings are supplied by the businesses themselves, and grades and complaints by their customers. We don't license, employ, vet or guarantee anyone listed. Check licenses, insurance and references before you hire.
Ads and affiliate links
Some links are affiliate or sponsored links, and we may earn a commission. Ads are labeled. Advertisers don't decide which reports appear or how they're sorted.
Corrections and removal
If a post about you or your business is inaccurate, includes personal information, or should otherwise come down, contact the site owner with the page link and what's wrong. We review every request and remove or correct content when it's warranted. Removing a post here doesn't remove the original from the site it came from.
